Production in undeveloped communities is mainly done by subsistence producers and small businesses. For sustainable modernization, these producers need carefully coordinated upgrades in these areas:- green technology usage, product development, capital investment, business organization, business operation, and business management.
To simultaneously provide and carefully coordinate all the upgrades needed, Apgrade center is launching special development projects called “Adapters”. Apgrade adapters are projects that convert a group of informal traditional and subsistence producers producing the same popular product in a community into a formal producer owned startup that will use modern, world standard ways of production.
Adapter projects are startups founded by Apgrade center that develop popular products and how they are produced by the producers. They are business entities and are designed to be self sustaining.
These adapter startups will sustain themselves by attracting investment from investors and through revenue from sale of their products. Once launched they will be self sufficient companies owned by producers. Besides the producers, the adapter startups will partner with, investors, donors, charities, companies, other adapters and the government to ensure their success.
Adapters are built on cutting edge green inventions and innovations in production machines processes etc. Every adapter is built around modern ideas by cooperating with inventors and innovators. The innovations chosen must give the adapter startups an edge, boost production, and make startups profitable.
Apgrade center will design and found the adapter startups to guide the producer to ensure their business success. This will be done by fostering innovation in the startup, finding investors, finding supporters, maintaining proper business running and everything needed to accomplish the proper and fair process of converting the local informal producers into successful modern companies.
